Estava eu pedalando pela internet quando emparelhei com a “R-Evolve”, uma escultura biomecânica de Jud Turner, escultor norte-americano, perito em fósseis e engrenagens. Citando o próprio artista:

“I explore such dichotomies in my sculpture. Using welded steel and found objects, I create artwork which embraces opposites: the tension between humans and nature; the perils of balancing biology and technology; or the combination of ancient fossils with modern machinery.”

O fóssil ciclista de Turner retrata o ato de pedalar a partir de um ponto de vista atemporal. A escultura nos remete  à velha expressão “é como andar de bicicleta”, ou seja, algo muito simples, natural,  extensão do próprio corpo.
